If your family is like mine there is only so much saving you can do. At some point a families budget needs a little extra cash. A great fun way to make extra money is to work the polls on Election Day. I work the polls for my neighborhood. It is great fun. You get to talk to your neighbors and help your community. The best part is you also get paid. Not all counties pay the same for poll workers on Election Day but I made about $17 an hour working the polls. Look in the phone book or on the web for your County Clerk and sign up to work next Election Day.

You never know unless you ask. Many restaurants have smaller kids size items that are at a much lower price and a better size for your kid or yourself. Many times these items are not on the menu. Today my son wanted a lemonade to go with the FREE Chick-fil-A breakfast he and I were enjoying. I asked for a child's size lemonade and it was only $0.84 while a small lemonade is $1.54. If you don't see something on the menu always ask if you want a smaller size. Every little bit you save adds up.
