How to Save Money and Unwanted Chemicals by Making your Liquid Hand Soap, Dryer Sheets and Laundry Soap

I Love to find ways to Save Money And Stay Home with my kids. One way I save money is by making my own Liquid Hand Soap, Dryer Sheets and Laundry Soap. I am also avoiding all the extra chemicals in these store bought items. Here is how I make each:

Liquid Hand Soap- You will need:
Cheese grater
2 Tablespoons of Liquid Glycerin
1 - 8 oz bar of soap or I most often use a few little hotel soaps that add up to about 8 oz.
1 gallon of water

First-Step:Grate the bar/bars of soap
Second:Fill a pot with 1 gallon of distilled water and the soap shavings.
Third: Add 2 Tablespoons of liquid glycerin and turn the heat to medium/high and stir until the soap dissolves.
Fourth: Leave it alone to cool for at least 12 hours
Fifth: Blend with a hand-mixer while adding just a little bit of water until the consistency is that of liquid soap.
Sixth: Store in an old cleaned out milk jug and refill your hand soap around the house as needed.

Dryer Sheets- You will need:
Container with an airtight lid
Sponges cut in half
Cup of liquid favorite fabric softener
Cups water

Mix the water and fabric softener into a plastic container.
Add the cut sponges so they can soak up the mixture.
When ready to dry, squeeze the excess liquid from 1 or 2 sponges and toss them into the dryer with your wet clothes.
Dry as normal.  Once the load is done place the now dry sponge back into the container of liquid and use again. There you have it a great way to save a lot of money on dryer sheets.

Here is the link that is the best step by step guide on How to make you own Laundry Soap:

I encourage you to make your own. It is not hard and will save you money and help limit unwanted chemicals in your life.
